What is a CSA?
CSA stands for “Community Supported Agriculture.” Members sign up at the beginning of the season and receive a weekly basket of produce and/or bouquet of flowers each week. The selection of produce and flowers changes with the seasons. Each week’s box and bouquet are filled with the freshest goods from the farm, all grown organically and all harvested at their peak. We expect the 2024 season of the Hidden Villa CSA to run mid-May through the end of October. Hidden Villa is a single-farm CSA; meaning we grow 100% of the food and flowers included in every share and everything we produce is Certified Organic by CCOF. By joining the Hidden Villa CSA, you are making a commitment to help support small-scale, organic, regenerative agriculture in this community. In addition, this direct connection between farmer and customer leads to a more personal relationship and greater community building between producer and eater as well as between CSA members who share an interest in sustainable agriculture and good food. CSA members have exclusive access to our weekly farm newsletter with updates about the farm, relevant issues and recipes. Members are also invited to special CSA events including a fall cob oven pizza party, field walks with the farmers, etc. to facilitate a deeper connection to the farm, the farmers and one another. Every season is unique with its own successes and challenges. By becoming a member of the CSA you are signing up to enjoy the bounty but also weather potential storms and shortages. As CSA members you will always get the best the farm has to offer.
How do I register for the CSA?
The first step is to set up a customer account through our online store. You can use your account to monitor the status of your registration, view your order history, and pre-authorize a credit card. Once you've established an account with us, select your desired CSA share (produce, flowers or both) and head over to the checkout page to complete your order.
How do I pay for my order?
You'll be asked to pre-authorize a charge to your credit card at checkout. Credit cards used at our store are processed safely and securely with PCI-compliant payment processor, Stripe. We will not have access to your billing information, nor will it pass through our platform's server.
How will I know if my registration has been received?
You should receive a notification immediately after completing your order informing you that your registration has been received. We aim to review orders on a daily basis so you should receive a payment processed/registration confirmation email within 24 hours. At which point you will be fully registered!
When will I start receiving my share?
We are expecting our season to begin mid-May and continue through the end of October. We will send an email to all members in early May reminding you of the upcoming start and outlining procedures for pick up.
